The streets of our city bear evidence of decline. On many street corners you will find a homeless person, forced into her/his situation due to a lack of socio-economic opportunities.
Adults go to the streets to commit crime and substances with no hope for a future However, there is a beacon of hope in Pretoria Angels at work is a centre for the enhancement and development of the destitute.
We provide shelter and aim to restore their dignity - from destitution, into well-adjusted and self-sufficient people. We also aim to empower them with skills to settle back into community and contribute positively to it.
We now have 120 families in our project that include the poor and the destitute. We took them from the street, gave them accommodation, nourishment, clothing and medical services. In the program they attend courses, which restore them physically, emotionally and spiritually by the Hercules community.
Angels at Work project wants to uplift, develop and empower people to have a positive self-esteem and confidence to become socially included members of their communities There are a few greater joys in life than to see a person restored, healed and with self-esteem walking proudly back into the community.
It will be greatly appreciated if the above-mentioned project that is running very effectively can extend this life changing project through your support.
